Halloween (poem)

Halloween

Children dress up
Teens do too
Basically everyone
What about you

Witches
And vampires and ghosts
It’s hard to say
Which scares me the most

And haunted houses
That are sure to scare
Lots of screams
You better beware

But it’s not just
For kids and teens
Universities and employers
Celebrate via other means

An anticipated day
Every year
Halloween
You get back here

  1. I like the fact that you’ve made a Halloween poem. But if I’m honest, I found the rhythm to be poor. The meter isn’t right and I kept hesitating. It doesn’t flow. Nice poem though.
