I put off reading this book for a LONG time, but I finally got around to it. I won’t tell you if I enjoyed it or not because then you probably wouldn’t even watch the video. So, go ahead and watch and we can chat about it.
On this day in 2014 I published Books and Judging Them by Their Covers.
Haven’t read this since 9th grade. Loved it then, pretty sure I’ll love it more now. Definitely plan to reread before her next one comes out.

I think I definitely appreciated it more now than if I’d have read it sooner. Or been forced to read it. Although I loved Jurassic Park and Dracula and I was forced to read those.

It is a great piece of literature for sure. I guess if you’re only going to publish one book in your lifetime you could do a lot worse.

Shh. Next month she’ll officially have published two.

Yeah. That is not without some conflict.

I know. But I think at the end of the day her readers probably want the book more than they want to know how it came about.

Sadly, I think you are correct.

But at least it’s because of how highly they regard her work rather than everyone just being pricks.

Completely agree with your commentary. And I enjoyed your rant on the criminal justice system.
Harper Lee’s book is amazing! I can’t wait until her next one comes out next month. And I think you’ll find Atticus’ name comes up a lot in lists and polls on most influential and inspiring characters in classic literature. He certainly deserves the limelight.
I also love the face you made when pronouncing Madeleine L’Engle’s name. Hehe!

I could read 100 books from his perspective. I actually was going to mention Go Set a Watchman but I forgot. I might read it soon after its release. But I might not. Now you’re laughing at me? I was editing that video until five in the morning. All so you could laugh at me. π

You laugh at me all the time. I refuse to feel guilty for getting a chuckle at a fun facial expression. People laugh at my face all the time. I take it as a compliment.

Haha! Nothing I can say against that. π

True story. When/if we get steak, you’ll see for yourself. I have a rubber face, I’m told.

What does that mean?

Kind of like Jim Carrey. Not nearly as much as him, but someone whose face is very flexible and such. Does that make any sense at all? I feel like I’m not explaining it well.

Nope. No idea what you’re taking about. π

Nope. I really don’t know what you’re saying. A flexible face?

I should say very expressive. Better?

Yep. That’s me! Maybe that’s why I don’t use emojis. I am one!
