I last finished reading a book nearly two months ago. And then I started a book I knew nothing about. Bad choice. The book is now my latest DNF.
So last night I was deciding on what to read next. I have books from the Amazon list. I have books for my reading challenge. And I have books that are right in my wheelhouse of crime fiction. I decided to go with what I know. I started the next book in the Elvis Cole series. And only later did I realize that I’d not read in the series since 2014. That’s outrageous. I love Elvis and Joe, and it took the first five pages for me to realize how much I’ve missed them.
Do you have any books you turn to when you’re in the midst of a reading slump?
Now isn’t that just a loaded question?
I just started rereading The Hobbit tonight, it’s one of my go tos.
A non-fiction book called Karen is on my list as is another non-fiction called I Heard the Owl Call My Name.
I haven’t read them in a while but the Little House and Anne Of Gree Gables franchises are also on my go to list :)/
And The Hobbit and I Heard the Owl are the only two I wouldn’t consider even remotely girly.

Hmm. So you have a few. I haven’t heard of the nonfiction ones, but I definitely am at least aware of the others. Even if I haven’t read them.

I have far too many go-tos to list, as you know I love to reread.

Mostly to Percy Jackson (like I am now) and Colleen Hoover or Sophie Kinsella. My slump just *snap!* vanishes.
Or sometimes, any of the Children’s books that i own.

Haha! I’m surprised you didn’t add like ten more while I was sleeping! At least I know a few of them.
