Today’s election day in the US, and for anyone reading who might be in the US, I hope you’ve taken the time to participate in the election. There are so many local races that affect everyday life that don’t get the attention of the top of the ticket.
With that being said, do you have a favorite political book? I don’t. I only have two and I haven’t read them yet, though that should be changing soon. Many politicians have published a book at some point in their careers and regardless of what we may think of the so called political establishment, I think it’d be fascinating to learn about what goes into their day-to-day mindset.
I haven’t read many political books, but I would recommend Pete Buttigieg’s book, Shortest Way Home. He has an interesting story, plus he has some cool, data-driven ideas. I just got the impression that he’s super smart and very service-minded. I don’t find political books the most “fun” to read, but they do give a lot more information about a candidate than you would typically get from news coverage.

I just read Mary Trump’s book “Too Much and Never Enough”. It is an interesting read no matter where you stand on our current POTUS.

I recently purchased All the President’s Men and I think I saw her book on the same shelf. I considered buying it too, but didn’t. I’m sure it’s fascinating.
