It’s Guest Post Week!

I made the image in Snapchat just for you.

Remember a few weeks ago when I asked for guest bloggers to guest post during the week of February 23-27? No? Well I did. And on that day I basically gave any person reading this blog the opportunity to write a post about anything that you would normally find on here. Because let’s be real, y’all are tired of my writing style and topic choice. I know you are even if you’re shaking your head no. And I’m hoping y’all really enjoy this week of different voices and opinions.

So here’s how it’s going to happen. I currently have four posts (I’m expecting the fifth in the coming days) and the posts will be 100% written by the guest bloggers themselves. All I’ve done is read through them to make sure there aren’t any typos. If all goes according to plan, you won’t hear from me until Saturday. And all you have to do is sit back and enjoy these posts written specifically for you.

Last thing, if you enjoy what you read then check out their blogs! Cause you can never follow too many good blogs, right?

Guest bloggers, I definitely encourage you to reply to any comments on your posts. I’ll be checking during the week and if you aren’t replying then you’ll just be discouraging me from doing anything like this again.

See y’all Saturday!

PS: there were a few bloggers who expressed interest in participating this week (or I specifically asked them to) but did not write me a post. So you will for sure not be hearing from A. M. Freeman, Patricia Hamill, Deborah Bowman, or Jess from Like Star Filled Skies. Feel free to block their blogs. I have. Or have I? La La La.

I have something cool planned that I hope y’all will enjoy. Take a guess at what it might be. No? Don’t feel like guessing? Fine. I’ll just have to ruin the suspense. A week of guest posts! I’ve been thinking about this for some time now and I figure why not go ahead and do it. Just last week I had my second ever guest post on here and I think several of my readers liked it. Let’s get some important stuff out of the way.

I’m looking at the final week of February to post these. The 23rd-27th. And I’m not giving any stipulations besides what follows:

  • No lists.
  • No excerpts from your work.
  • No self promotion. (this isn’t the time to promote your new book)
  • Must go along with the overall bookish/writing theme of my blog.

That’s it! Of course, I’ll have the final say as to whether or not I decide to publish your post, but I don’t think my little instructions are very limiting. And if you’re somewhat new to my blog, then I’d suggest scrolling through my recent posts to see what I typically post. I’m not saying to copy anything, but at least you can get an idea of what works and what doesn’t.

There’s one last thing I want to mention. I said that I’m looking to post five guest posts, right? Well I definitely already have more than five people in mind who I think would have something great to post on here. It’ll be up to them to decide if this is something they might want to participate in. Not saying I’m totally biased, but I am a little.

So, now you’re probably wondering what exactly you have to do, right? Well it’s easy. Just tell me you’re interested and I’ll send you an invite to post on my blog. I WILL NOT SEND OUT MORE THAN FIVE INVITES AT A TIME. Which means that five people will have the opportunity to write a draft, if someone decides to waste time, then I’ll just remove their ability to do so.

And I’ll be notifying the guest bloggers at least a day before the post is published.
