It’s That Time Again

A few months ago I had a week of guest posts on here. And I’m ready to do it all again.

I have regular readers who I know are pretty interested in what I have to say, but I’ve posted almost every day of 2015! Which means a little change in perspective is probably in order. And I’m looking right at you.

It’s easy. I post about ANYTHING pertaining to books, writing, or publishing on here. Which leaves countless topics for you to discuss in a guest post. And don’t worry about trying to think of a topic I haven’t discussed before because my thoughts were most likely different from what you have to say.

Here are the only rules:

  • No book reviews.
  • No creative writing (poetry, short story, flash fiction, etc.)
  • No lists.

And that’s it! All you have to do is comment that you’d be interested in writing a guest post and I’ll send you an invite before the end of the day. You don’t even have to tell me a topic. I’m aiming for the first or second week of June to have the week of guest posts, which means I’m looking for five posts for each weekday. And of course, I reserve the right not to publish your post for any reason at all.

If you’re curious about what to write about, take a look at the guest posts from my first time doing this.

I have something cool planned that I hope y’all will enjoy. Take a guess at what it might be. No? Don’t feel like guessing? Fine. I’ll just have to ruin the suspense. A week of guest posts! I’ve been thinking about this for some time now and I figure why not go ahead and do it. Just last week I had my second ever guest post on here and I think several of my readers liked it. Let’s get some important stuff out of the way.

I’m looking at the final week of February to post these. The 23rd-27th. And I’m not giving any stipulations besides what follows:

  • No lists.
  • No excerpts from your work.
  • No self promotion. (this isn’t the time to promote your new book)
  • Must go along with the overall bookish/writing theme of my blog.

That’s it! Of course, I’ll have the final say as to whether or not I decide to publish your post, but I don’t think my little instructions are very limiting. And if you’re somewhat new to my blog, then I’d suggest scrolling through my recent posts to see what I typically post. I’m not saying to copy anything, but at least you can get an idea of what works and what doesn’t.

There’s one last thing I want to mention. I said that I’m looking to post five guest posts, right? Well I definitely already have more than five people in mind who I think would have something great to post on here. It’ll be up to them to decide if this is something they might want to participate in. Not saying I’m totally biased, but I am a little.

So, now you’re probably wondering what exactly you have to do, right? Well it’s easy. Just tell me you’re interested and I’ll send you an invite to post on my blog. I WILL NOT SEND OUT MORE THAN FIVE INVITES AT A TIME. Which means that five people will have the opportunity to write a draft, if someone decides to waste time, then I’ll just remove their ability to do so.

And I’ll be notifying the guest bloggers at least a day before the post is published.
